MagTapp Technologies, a picture browser and document-reading application based in Mumbai, has successfully raised Rs 1 crore in a bridge round from its existing angel investors and other sources, according to a company statement.“This infusion of capital stands positioned  MagTapp’s position to integrate its visual meaning API with its indigenous Ad network with many publishers in different languages to increase their monetization aspects,” the statement read.

The statement highlights that this investment will solidify MagTapp’s position as it integrates its visual meaning API with its proprietary Ad network, enhancing monetization opportunities for various publishers across different languages. MagTapp’s ongoing pursuit of Series A funding is being guided by Lakhani Financial Services. The startup’s distinctive offering lies in assisting users to comprehend content through visual cues. Complex words can be understood by simply tapping on them to reveal their visual representation, eliminating the need for consulting external dictionaries or searching online.

MagTapp’s integration of a visual dictionary into its web browser and document reader creates a seamless reading experience. Recent partnerships with media groups, including NewsX, encompassing publications like The Daily Guardian and Guardian, further validate the company’s trajectory. Founded in 2019 by Satyapal Chandra, Rohan Singh, and Abhishek Singh, friends hailing from Bihar, MagTapp has collectively secured Rs 11 crore in funding to date. The application boasts a global presence, utilized in 95 countries and accessible in 41 languages.
