Medical tourism Startup 'Global Care' receives $3 million in Series A
Global Care, a company that provides non-hospital medical tourism, has received $3 million funding from a Series A funding round led by 35North India Discovery Fund – II. Global Care stated in a press release that the funds will be used to facilitate convenient access to patient care and build clinical excellence through strategic consulting.
Established in the year 2016 by Rajeev Taneja, the startup Global Care offers groundbreaking clinical consideration across strengths in India, Turkey, Dubai, Egypt, Germany, and Thailand. It aims to bridge global healthcare divides.
As healthcare consultants, the company plans to provide international expansion of healthcare services and establish a global ecosystem of clinical services, supporting patients who cannot be treated in their home country and constructing clinical corridors.
Global Care says that for its expansion, it will concentrate on Eastern Africa, Francophone Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, SAARC countries, South-East Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Companies like SpeedLabs (Teevra Edutech), Nukleus Office Solutions, Cloud Tailor, Stupa Analytics, Big Bang Boom Solutions, Aatwri Aerospace and Defence, HomePecked, and Beshak have received funding from India Discovery Fund – II.
Expressing on this significant investment, Ashwani Singh, Managing Director at 35North says, “We strongly believe in both the company and the sector. The sector is benefiting from cutting-edge medical care across specialties in India, Turkey, Dubai, Egypt, Germany, and Thailand. This is coupled with the availability of high-end medical equipment and the time and price competitiveness of these destinations. Global Care has been doing remarkable work in this sector, and we are looking forward to supporting their expansion with this investment.”
Similarly, Rajeev Taneja, Founder and CEO of Global Care shares, “The Company is now at the forefront of expanding healthcare services internationally and creating a global ecosystem of clinical services as healthcare consultants covering both aspects – building clinical corridors while supporting patients who cannot be treated in their home country.”
