The Medical Travel Company, a UK-India startup founded in 2024, has raised $4.5 million in seed funding to simplify medical tourism between the two countries. The startup was launched by Ankit Mehrotra and Sahil Jain, who previously built and sold the popular restaurant platform Dineout. Sahil Jain, Co-Founder and CEO of Medical Travel Company, explained, “With millions in the UK waiting for elective treatments, timely access to healthcare has become critical. We want to ensure seamless care from UK doctors to Indian hospitals and back”.

The Medical Travel Company offers a full service platform, including UK based medical oversight, treatment by internationally trained doctors in India, and a 12 month post-surgery insurance policy valid in the UK.
