Monitra Healthcare, a pioneering remote cardiac monitoring diagnostic platform, has successfully raised $500K in equity during a pre-Series A funding round. This funding was led by 91Ventures, a syndicated fund led by Pranay Gupta, and Lavni Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on social impact. The funding initiative also witnessed participation from ACG World, AWE Funds, prominent individuals like Lakshmi Narayanan, Kishore Ganji, and Arvind Ramamurthy, along with Indian Angel Network, an existing investor that has shown continuous support across multiple rounds.

The infusion of capital is strategically significant for Monitra Healthcare’s forthcoming growth phase, which entails expanding into international markets, diversifying distribution networks in East India, and monitoring an array of biomarkers that interface with the human skin, encompassing vital indicators like brain strokes, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and respiratory rate. Hailing from Hyderabad, Monitra Health has outlined plans to expedite its presence across ten major cities within India, navigate international markets by obtaining regulatory approvals, and establish state-of-the-art 24×7 patient monitoring centers in the country.

This aggressive expansion will be accompanied by the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) to predict potential cardiac disorders at an early stage, thereby contributing to an increased life expectancy. Key Venture played a pivotal role in orchestrating this funding deal as the exclusive financial advisor to Monitra Healthcare. “Key Venture’s expertise in healthcare transactions proved instrumental in understanding the criticality of cardiovascular diseases and facilitating a successful conclusion with esteemed partners,” noted Bhogu.

Lavni Ventures’ Vasu Guruswamy emphasized the innovation behind Monitra’s solution: “Monitra Healthcare’s real-time heart monitoring solution is particularly unique due to its AI-driven screening report, which delivers exceptional value by expediting cardiologists’ decision-making processes globally. ”This funding round aligns with Lavni Ventures’ commitment to advancing deep-tech startups that cater to the socio-economic needs of underserved communities, further bolstering the significance of Monitra Healthcare’s mission.
