Offside, a specialized social platform designed for cricket fans, has obtained $150K in pre-seed funding from 100X.VC. The investment's objective is to drive Offside's expansion, with plans to increase its user base to 500,000 in the coming months, as stated in the company's official announcement.

Co-Founded by Shivam Jha and Rishav Kumar, Offside stands as a dedicated platform catering to cricket enthusiasts, offering a space for fan interactions. With a spectrum of features encompassing live match updates, interactive discussions, vibrant communities, curated cricket content, and an array of free-to-play cricket contests and games, the app aims to deeply engage its users. The startup has exhibited promising progress, acquiring 50,000 users during the recent World Cup. Moreover, the app has sustained significant user engagement, with daily interactions surpassing 30 minutes over the past three months.

Within the sphere of early-stage investments, 100X.VC has actively supported various startups this year. Its portfolio includes entities like Roopya, 50Fin, Minifeel, Vodex, ThinkMetal, Luzo, Dr. Mantra, and abCoffee, among others. Operating on a cohort-based investment model, the fund initiated its first batch in December 2019, consisting of 20 early-stage startups.
