On-demand Home services Startup 'COOX' nets $125K in Seed round
A seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures has received $125,000 for the on-demand home services startup COOX.
The money raised will be utilized to increase marketing activities, grow its operations from 20 to 40 cities, and improve its technology by integrating AI for increased scalability and efficiency.
COOX, which was established by Akshat Gupta and Rajat Johri, provides more than ten on-demand home services & event hosting options, ranging from live entertainment and rentals to expert chefs and hospitality personnel.
To meet all of your home culinary demands, it also provides domestic cooks on a monthly subscription basis.
With 500 meals ranging from Indian to Continental and 15 different cuisines, it says it has served over 5 lakh clients since 2019.
COOX, which employs more than 3,000 skilled individuals, wants to use technology to update home services and provide employment for gig workers in the hospitality and events industry.
As of October 2024, COOX provides a wide range of more than ten on-demand event hosting and house party services in 20 Indian locations.
Furthermore, COOX offers home cooks a monthly membership service. In order to accommodate different client demands and preferences, our all-inclusive suite of home services includes both cooking solutions and event hosting.
Market research predicts that expansion in a number of areas would propel the Indian food services market to $125 billion by 2030. The catering sector alone is worth about Rs 20,000 crores and is growing at a 15% yearly rate.
On this vital funding round, Vinay Bansal, founder and CEO, Inflection Point Ventures states, “Managing everyday responsibilities or hosting events often requires external help for smooth management. A service provider like COOX that assists with both day-to-day tasks and event hosting makes life easier, allowing individuals to relax and enjoy their time. Not only does it provide convenience, but it also supports the gig economy by creating job opportunities in the hospitality industry. By using technology, COOX modernises home services and ensures hosts can enjoy their events as much as guests. COOX aligns perfectly with IPV’s commitment to backing tech-driven solutions that make a tangible impact”.
Similarly, Akshat Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO, COOX, says, “At COOX, we are committed to transforming the landscape of home services through cutting-edge technology, ensuring seamless experiences for both customers and partners. Our aim is to provide not only exceptional service to clients but also create significant employment opportunities for gig workers in the hospitality industry. We passionately believe that ‘Hosts should enjoy as much as the Guests,’ and we work tirelessly to bring this vision to life, enabling every event to be a memorable and enjoyable experience”.
