Mumbai-based pet care startup BhaoBhao has raised $200,000 in funding from a group of angel investors. The company said the fresh funds will be used to expand its services to more cities.
Founded by Aditi Sanganeria and Anshika Maheshwari, BhaoBhao offers at-home pet grooming services for both dogs and cats. The startup employs certified and experienced groomers, including specialists for cats, and ensures that all equipment is sanitized before use. The focus, the founders say, is to make grooming safe, convenient, and stress-free for pets while keeping homes clean after each session.
The services are priced between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 per visit. Since its launch, BhaoBhao has served over 3,000 pet owners in Mumbai and reports a 95 percent repeat customer rate, highlighting strong demand for its offerings.

According to industry reports, India’s pet care sector is currently valued at $3.5 billion and is expected to see significant growth in the coming years.
The startup also revealed that it is in talks to raise a larger funding round of $4-5 million by the end of the year. This will help it expand further and bring its premium grooming services to more pet parents across the country.
