PlaysOut Raises $7 Million to Expand Blockchain-Powered Mini-Game Ecosystem

Separator
PlaysOut, a UAE gametech startup, has raised $7 million in a seed funding round led by KBW Ventures, with OKX Ventures and Pacific Century Group joining in. The investment places the company at a valuation of $70 million and will be used to fund PlaysOut's expansion into new markets, development of its mini-game ecosystem, and strategic partnerships.

PlaysOut is a company launched in 2024 by Jimmie Jeremejev and Jassem Osseiran. The company offers an interface that can be used to embed mini-games into messaging and social media applications like YouTube, Discord and Telegram. A mini-game engine and software development kit (SDK) are the services provided by the company through which developers are able to seamlessly integrate interactive games into their services. PlaysOut uses blockchain for increased user involvement and secure online transactions.

The money will be invested to expand PlaysOut's operations in high-growth markets, such as the United States, the MENA region and Asia. The firm wants to enhance its ecosystem by adding more games to its library and enhancing developer tools. One of the milestones for PlaysOut will be the launch of its embedded SDK in May, which will make integration of mini-games smoother across platforms.

OKX Ventures' investment in the round is a testament to the growing demand for blockchain-based gaming solutions. As a venture capital organization specializing in cryptocurrency and decentralized applications, OKX Ventures believes PlaysOut's method of applying blockchain technology to mini-games holds promise. KBW Ventures and Pacific Century Group, both prominent investors in new and technology-oriented businesses, provide further experience and capital to fuel PlaysOut's growth.
