Pune Based Edtech firm ImaginXP raises $1.5 Million from Clutch of Investors

Edtech firm, ImaginXP has raised $1.5 million in pre-series A round led by Venture Catalysts along with co-investors Shashank Deshpande, Krish Kupathil, Samyakth Capital, among others.

Founded in 2013, by Shashank Shwet and led by Prof. Col. Shishir Kumar, ImaginXP works towards bridging the employability gap in today’s job market. The Pune based company partners with universities to provide future skills degree programs and for-credit certification courses to students aimed at bridging the employability gaps.

Shashank Shwet, Co-founder, ImaginXP, said, “3.7 crore students in India pay $7 billion in tuition fees and our mission is to provide them with global quality education at university campuses and online courses.”

The company has partnered with 22 universities across the country and employs over 70 full-time faculty members. ImaginXP renders degrees such as B.Des (Bachelor of Design), M.Des (Master of Design), BBA, MBA, BSc and BTech degree programmes. Additionally students can opt for certification courses for future ready topics such as design, emerging technologies such as Design Thinking, Gaming design, cybersecurity and Robotics among others.

The firm has designed MyCoach platform to connect corporates and startups to students for live projects, internships and shadow learning. "Our test of time was during the pandemic when the traditional university model got disrupted. We quickly scaled up our digital platform MyCoach to provide for-credit courses to the universities and engage the students on their behalf,” added Shishir.
ImaginXP intends to utilize the fresh capital towards growth acceleration growth of its B2B higher education model. The company will focus on investing in both c offline and online degree programmes, said a statement.
