Shared Mobility Platform Tilt raises $125,000 from Y Combinator

Tilt, an EV and bicycle-sharing platform for Indian campuses has raised $125,000 from Y Combinator. Additionally, the Bangalore-based startup has raised an undisclosed round from a clutch of angel investors. Tilt was a part of Y Combinator’sWinter 2021 cohort. It was incubated at Digital Impact Square, a TCS Foundation-run startup incubator.

Founded in 2018, Tilt provides bikes, e-bikes, and shuttles to corporates, colleges, townships, and cities across India. The startup has designed an application through which users can book vehicles based on their requirements. A fee is then charged based on the duration of the usage.

Tilt was founded by V S, SudhirMetaliya, Daksh Shah, and Rachit Parikh. It currently provides its shared mobility services to companies such as Tata Motors, ONGC Petro additions Limited, Tata Consultancy Services, Palava City, Mahindra Group, and Tata Steel.

In an interview to a leading online portal, Deepak speaks about the rising demand coming from Tier II and III cities. The startup will be working towards scaling its manufacturing and operations to meet this growing demand. Deepak further mentions that Tilt’s business model and the product have been rapidly evolving to address the mobility challenges faced by modern campuses.
