Singapore Gives Startups SGD $100K and Real-World Testing to Push Public Safety Solutions Forward

Startups creating advanced, dual use technologies have an unprecedented chance of entering the homeland security market. Dimension X Cohort 6, Hatch's premier innovation challenge, Singapore's public safety and security innovation center founded by HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency, supported by Knovel Engineering and SOSA, is calling for applications.
Since its inception in 2023, Hatch has grown to be a launchpad for nascent technologies that aspire to leave their mark. In the last two years, the program has been able to run five cohorts with startups globally most of which have piloted and implemented their solutions in Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs operating units.
Now in its sixth round, Dimension X provides SGD $100,000 in non-equity funding, direct exposure to HTX experts and Home Team end-users, and the opportunity to build real world proof of concepts in critical public safety domains. Startups will tackle challenge statements across AI-powered situational awareness, autonomous multi-drone coordination, maritime communications, active body cooling for first responders, and more.
This is a unique opportunity for startups to take their technology from concept to operational deployment in just four months," stated Chiko David, Hatch Program Director . "Direct interaction with end-users out in the field is game-changing feedback not only for product-market fit, but for meaningful impact.
Selected startups will receive technical guidance, real-time user insights, and the chance to pilot their solutions in active operational environments. Past participants have showcased their innovations at major industry events, secured follow-on projects, and built critical partnerships within the homeland security ecosystem.
SOSA's focus on innovation-driven development has given Hatch a new model for worldwide public safety advancement," said Erik Kerten, SOSA HLS Managing Partner . "We feel honored to participate in a program that not just invests in innovation but injects it back into the growth process with users of the future." SOSA's investment comes as part of an expanded movement to enable defense agencies and government institutions to drive global startup innovations through mission-specific innovation centers centered on practical implications.
Because security threats are changing very fast, homeland security organizations are in hot pursuit of new tools and capabilities. Dimension X is poised to spot pioneering solutions and fast-track their deployment, aligning worldwide innovation with mission critical requirements.
