Startup incubated by Kerala Startup Mission develops Wolf Airmask to Combat Coronavirus
Startup founders in India have joined hands together to provide a variety of strategies to assist the government and people in combating the current coronavirus pandemic.
A startup incubated by Kerala Startup Mission, Allabout Innovations has created a system that can reduce the spread of the coronavirus in the air. Wolf Airmask is a machine that produces negative ions that bind to the coronavirus spikes and neutralise the virus.
It is the only device in the world that can efficiently generate 100% negative ions over a 1000 sq ft and 10,000 cu ft range. However, the device's range can be expanded to accommodate even wider areas. It produces no harmful positive ions or ozone to the environment. The Wolf Airmask is also the only system that has been tested for SARS-CoV-2.
Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology has tested and approved the unit (RGCB). The system has been accredited by the organisation to be capable of neutralising the COVID viral load in the air and on surfaces by 99.9%. Some viruses and MS2 bacteria have been successfully screened with Wolf Airmask.
The Wolf Airmask can emit up to 100 trillion negative ions per cm3/second, which bind to the coronavirus surface protein/spike protein, as well as any other harmful virus or microbe present in the air, and neutralise it. When the system is mounted in a specific location, it ensures that the surrounding environment is purified in no time.
Sujesh Sugunan – Chairman, Allabout Innovations, commented, “Over the last 10 months, we have been doing extensive research to come out with a solution that can effectively safeguard one's surroundings and provide real-time protection from coronavirus. Wolf Airmask is that product.”
Since it is plug-and-play and needs no maintenance for 70,000 hours, the non-regulatory medical system is built for ease and comfort (approx eight years). The cost of securing a 1000 sq ft and 10,000 cu ft area is just Rs 29,500. The system can be conveniently mounted in a variety of locations, including corporate offices, industrial spaces, residential areas, hotels and restaurants, and spas and saloons, to name a few.
