Student Accommodation Startup Ezstayraises $400,000 from Former KPMG CEO Richard Rekhy

Delhi-based student housing community Ezstays has raised $400,000 in a second seed round from Richard Rekhy, former CEO of KPMG and other private investors. Keeping premium amenities at its core, Ezstays will allocate funds to further refine its customer experience. The startup will also work towards increasing the number of beds and occupancy percentage in educational hubs like Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, New Delhi and Bhopal.
Founded in 2019, Ezstaysprovides accommodation to students who shift to new cities for education. The Ezstaysteam include Vaibhav Khanna,CEO; Kumar Gaurav and Abhishek Kumar, Head of Expansion &Marketing; and Kumar Gaurav, COO. The startup envisionscreating a brand that students and their parents can trust for safety, security and comfortable housing experience. It has started with 500 beds in the year of incorporation and expects to reach 5000 beds by 2021-22.
Keeping in mind the difficulties students and parents face when they have to join a new college in new cities, Ezstays aims to offer all round ease so as to make easy for both parents and students to find a perfect accommodation. It also provides new-age requirements such as equipped gymnasium, laundry services, snack machines, library, games, on-call doctor, motivational classes, career counseling, mentorship programmes, personality development courses, opportunities for internship, movie screenings, sports fests, birthday celebrations, stand-up comedy, DJ nights, and gaming competitions.
