Text Mercato raises $2.6 million in pre-Series A funding round
Content technology and cataloguing startup Text Mercato has raised $2.6 million in a pre-Series A round led by 1Crowd, Mount Judi Ventures and Innospark Ventures. Modulor Capital, Tremis Capital and a few angel investors also participated in the round.
Funds raised in the round will be deployed for expanding its international footprint.
Founded in 2011 by Kiran Ramakrishna and Subhajit Mukherjee, Text Mercato offers content writing and cataloguing services via its suite of AI products.
The company serves over 50 brands, including Nykaa and Myntra, processing over one million stock-keeping units (SKU) monthly. It claims to have tripled its revenues last year.
“While companies tend to build their products around a singular issue such as the image, text, translation, or other solutions, the focus of our product is to do this end-to-end, sans four-five vendors.
Our solution provides seamless integration, speed, quality, and cost efficiency for our clients,” said Kiran Ramakrishna, cofounder of Text Mercato.
