Event tech startup Ticket9, backed by actors Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, has raised fresh funding to expand its operations into Europe. The company will use the funds to scale its product capabilities and grow its operations team as it marks its first global market entry.

Founded in 2022 by Yazhini Shanmugam and Santhos Premraj, Ticket9 provides an integrated platform for event discovery, ticketing, and guest management. It has supported a range of events, from concerts and marathons to business summits and cultural festivals across India and abroad. The startup recently powered over 22,000 bookings for the Anirudh 'Hukum' concert in Malaysia, underscoring its ability to manage large-scale events efficiently.

Ticket9 has also launched Ticket9 RSVP, a new feature designed for invitation-only and community-driven events. The feature allows organizers to curate guest lists, control access, and simplify coordination for both social and professional gatherings. The RSVP model will first roll out in Europe, followed by India and other global markets.

Competing with platforms like BookMyShow and Zomato Live, Ticket9 differentiates itself through its focus on community-based events and curated attendance experiences. With operations in India and Dubai, the company now aims to strengthen its global footprint in the event technology space.
