Travel-tech Startup 'Holiday Tribe' hits Rs. 5.4 crore in Seed Funding round

A Travel tech firm, Holiday Tribe has lifted Rs.5.4 crore in its seed funding round that was headed by Powerhouse Ventures and GSF. The key investors participated in that funding round that involved are Gaurav Kapur, Murugavel Janakiraman from BharatMatrimony.com's, & Dinesh Agarwal and Gulati from India Mart.

The Funding lifted in the round will be infused toward maximizing the supply chain of the brand, marketing campaigns and technological prowess.

Established by Ex-MakeMyTrip officials Anshu Sharma and Chirag Goyal in the year 2023, Holiday Tribe provides tailored holiday experiences across the regions that attracts friends and families, couples and honeymoons, adventure lovers and people those eager to visit fresh or untapped areas.

Headquartered in Gurugram, the company states that it has fostered collaborations with more than ten tourism platforms and boards, comprising those in Mauritius, Dubai, Switzerland, Qatar, Thailand, Singapore, and Australia, and claims an international supply network of more than 100,000 hotels.

Holiday Tribe provides a various range of tailored vacation packages to more than 30 global destinations.

As per the FICCI-Nangia knowledge paper, the strong and outbound tourism market of India is expected to touch $18.81 billion in the year 2024 and increase at a CAGR – compound annual growth rate of 11.4% in the ten years between 2024 and 2034 to reach approximately 55.38 billion. Comparing to this, the market is projected that internet travel industry of India will develop from $17.24 billion to $28.40 billion between the year 2024 and 2029 at the CAGR rate of 10 percent.
