WizCommerce Raises $8 Million to Expand AI Capabilities

- WizCommerce raises $8 Million Series A led by Peak XV Partners to expand US operations.
- Focus on AI products, including 'AI employees' to streamline wholesale distribution workflows.
- 95% of revenue comes from US sales, with India not an immediate target for sales operations.
AI-driven sales and e-Commerce platform for wholesale distributors, WizCommerce, has raised $8 million in Series A funding, led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India). The funding round also saw participation from all four of the company’s existing investors, including Z47, Blume Ventures, and Alpha Wave Global.
The funds will be used to strengthen WizCommerce’s products and go-to-market operations. Co-founder and CEO Div Makkar told YourStory that the company plans to hire more talent in both the US and India to support expansion efforts. While WizCommerce has teams based in Bengaluru and Gurugram, and a small team of 10–15 people in Abu Dhabi, all of the company’s sales currently happen in the US, which contributes 95% of its revenue. Makkar added that India is not an immediate target for sales operations.
A significant portion of the funding will also be invested in the company’s AI products. “The plan is to launch AI employees by Q1 next year for wholesalers and to enhance existing services”, Makkar said. WizCommerce aims to help distributors navigate challenges like tariffs, freight costs, and operational inefficiencies by turning complex processes into faster, intelligent workflows that boost profitability.
Currently, the platform is used by 700 sales representatives and over 300,000 buyers across categories such as home décor, furniture, lighting, gifts, and general merchandise. Leading distributors like Avandium Trading, Turkana Foods, and Arteriors Homes are among its clients.

Rishen Kapoor, VP at Peak XV Partners, said, “Distribution is still largely run on legacy systems. WizCommerce is addressing that gap with an AI-first product built for the industry’s daily needs. Their early traction shows they are well-placed to lead this transformation”.
With this fresh capital, WizCommerce aims to scale operations, strengthen AI capabilities, and provide wholesalers with smarter, more efficient tools, reinforcing its position as a key player in the US wholesale distribution market.
