Bengaluru Tech Summit: Envisioning a Ground-Breaking Vision for Startups
Bengaluru Tech Summit ‘23 is indeed breaking boundaries! By proving that Namma Bengaluru is not only an IT hub but also the emerging hub for many top self-made entrepreneurs and their startup journey, the summit has set a benchmark in the startup ecosystem. Karnataka is dedicatedly bolstering and nurturing innovation and young talent across a diverse range of industries. A progressive shift is noticed in creating more soonicorns, unicorns, and dragons. The realm of startups was witnessing under a cloudy situation until 29th December 2023. Not anymore! This tech summit embarks as a ray of sunshine for startups by introducing a few great enablers like Dr. P. M. Murali (Jananom Pvt Ltd) Dr. Prasun Mishra (Wise Capitals), Rema Subramanian (Ankur Capital Fund), Chintan Khotari (Eight Roads Ventures), Venkat Raju (Turbostart Global), C. M. Patil (Krishikalpa), Ankit Bhatnagar (Nab Ventures), and the list goes on. The clouds are going away and the sky is clear for start-ups to refurbish the ecosystem with more innovation.
The infusion of technology and the concept of sustainability is giving rise to more productive solutions and product launches. The second edition of the Startup Product Launch took place at the Startup Innovation Zone on the 2nd day of the event, wherein almost 35 groundbreaking products and solutions were unveiled by various startups. Additionally, another feather of innovation was added in the cap of Uber by launching Uber Green. Initially accessible in central Bengaluru, the service endeavors to extend its reach across additional areas within India’s startup hub.
Further to give a kickstart and offer a supportive ecosystem to young minds’ creativity, STPI in collaboration with Govt. of Karnataka has inaugurated the Centre of Excellence in Efficiency Augmentation (CoE-EA). This marvelous initiative is also supported by HPEIPL at Jayanagar, Bengaluru, to leverage the emerging Industry 4.0 technologies. This CoE also compresses of 16,000 sqft, the state-of-the-art facility, an Innovation & Development Lab, and an Incubation facility through which it aims to nurture 100 startups and engage 25,000 students over the next five years.
While it is very important to laud the role of AI in the evolution of digital economy, it is also mandatory for us to learn and unlearn how to ensure trust and safety in the AI domain. On the 2nd day, the Startup Track commenced its session with various informative and effective talks on topics like ‘The Future of Quantum Computing' followed by ‘Rapid Revolution of Gen AI’ and finally concluded with ‘Watering the Green Pitch – Riding the Agritech Waves’. Overall, from improving the national standards of startups to embracing the tie-ups with international brands, Bengaluru Tech Summit has nailed it in strengthening the startup ecosystem.
