In an indepth conversation with Startup City magazine, Ravi Pradhan, Co-Founder & Managing Director of ONESTEP GROW shares with us the various services provided and the future roadmap for the company. Here are some excerpts from the conversation.
Give us a brief overview of 1stepgrow. What services does 1stepgrow provide to its clients and what are its impact on the market?
1stepgrow is an e-Learning platform which helps professionals keep up with development in the field of data science, artificial intelligence, data analytics, business analytics, and digital marketing.
Our programs are more focused on practical experience-based learning with project experience from AI companies & domain training from experts from the field of data science and are based on three pillars. 100 percent Live training with realtime projects & case studies, Project Experience on RealWorld problems and Profile building & Soft Skills.
Digital transformation is one of the most crucial area in the industry; and 1stepgrow is working to make sure it brings about digital transformation in corporate by working with them to provide solution based on data science. The practical exposure to real world applications of these technologies makes our students ready for the future advancement in their industries. We believe that working professionals with practical exposure to these technologies can act as a catalyst for digital transformation of the company.
The e-Learning sector has been growing exponentially over the last few years, what are some of the services that you provide and what is your flagship offering?
With the innovations and transformations, startups are booming globally and not just in India. Startups are reshaping the Indian work place and as an Edtech company, we have developed innovative online platforms to train professionals with skills that are in high demands. Apart from this, we also provide one-on-one guidance by mentors, domain training with the help of realworld projects, customizable courses according to need of the students, world recognized IBM Certification for AI and data science course and certification of project completion by AI companies. Our flagship offerings are in advanced programs for data science and AI courses.
Tell us about the core leadership team behind 1stepgrow. What inspired you to set up 1stepgrow and what is the vision of the company?
I am an IMT alumnus having experience in different domains ranging from Data Science, Machine Learning, Digital Marketing & Finance and have worked as corporate trainer for various professional skills and edTech company from past couple of years. This first-hand experience of the knowledge and skill gaps between what hiring managers are looking for and what the professional has to offer is vivid. 1stepgrow is a team of 15-members including experts from different areas supporting the venture in data analytics, digital marketing, content creation, operations, R& D, trainings and more. Our vision is to equip the students with marketable advanced abilities, cultivate the kind of soft talents highly prized by the employers, and guide them towards successful professional life.
What additional benefits does 1stepgrow offer to its clients that similar companies in the market fail to deliver?
We follow Edgar Dales' Cone of Experience which says, you remember 10 percent of what you read, 20 percent of what you hear, 30 percent of what you see, 50 percent of what you see and hear, 70 percent of when you participate and 90 percent when you do. To ensure this we provide practical exposure to real world projects instead of only classroom projects.
We have a mandatory real-world project of 2-3 months that helps in practical exposure to the domain. Also, our batch sizes are limited to 20 students ensuring that we provide individual attention with one-on-one mentorship. The 100 percent live interactive sessions ensures that the training is practical and lively with doubt resolution on the go, unlike recorded sessions. So, we follow the program for students that includes active participation and performing the projects for real-practical exposure. This is a crucial part of the training that majority of our competitors fail to deliver due to huge batch sizes and same standardized program and projects to all students.
Tell us about your company's recent revenue growth, and the future roadmap?
We have seen 100 percent revenue growth in the past few months. We are targeted towards process improvement and delivering better practical exposure-based training to the students with focus on courses related to data science, machine learning, AI, data analytics, business analytics, and digital marketing. In the future, we will be including trainings in Blockchain, IoT, Robotic Process Automation, Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing to improve digital transformation of industry. We are also associating with a greater number of companies in order to upskill our students with better practical skills necessitating the acknowledgement of industry.
