Aagaman Couture was established with the vision of working towards the emancipation of chikankari artisans and preserving age old art through design and market expansion
Aagaman has grown exponentially since its inception in 2019 and has carved a niche for itself in the market. With Neha’s love for this craft, it is not simply the passion or the fondness, instead, she could see this craft dying and wanted to bring back the respect that this craft and craftsmen deserve. Further, as she proceeds ahead, her vision is to take Chikankari from the bustling streets of Lucknow with a fashionable spin to the glitz and glamour of International Fashion Week. It is her goal to open multiple outlets of chikankari in India and around the World in order to raise awareness and assist artisans so that people can have access to products from any part of the world.
For further growth of the company, Neha is launching her Sub-brand Aagaman Sutra, a potent chi capsule wardrobe and lifestyle collection based on the concept of universal consciousness and energy healing sciences, where one may discover, explore, and uncover their true self. It will be a one-stop destination for Inner Oneness. Moreover, each product at Aagaman Couture tells its own story and is infused with the universal consciousness of lifting the spirits of women artisans and eventually contributing to the nation's economy (Vocal for Local & Atma Nirbhar Bharat.) "As an entrepreneur, I believe there is a never ending path for your success. We are striving to bring Chikankari into mainstream fashion, by using minimal elements of chikan in our designs so that they are affordable & everyone at least has awareness of it. One should be proud to use this handcrafted skill as part of their clothing, instead of machine-made embroideries," concludes Neha Asthana Meena.
