The automotive after-sales industry is comparatively an old global industry and the existing systems are mostly outdated installation based software. With the increasing vehicle sales, more and more businesses are connecting with the automotive ecosystem which is leading to the need of organising the segment with affordable and scalable solutions. Ashish Shrivastav and Rohit Bhatnagar seized the opportunity and zeroed in to build a mobile-based platform for the auto repair service centres to manage and grow their business. They named it GaragePlug. The team was doubled up when Shubhra Srivastava, who comes with rich experience in global products and strategic planning and execution, joined them as third cofounder. Currently, she is heading the execution and global expansion strategies.

challenges of gaining the trust of the customers and market by providing the instant customer support round the clock and quick improvements in the product based on the market feedback to fulfil major requirements. At present, it is well accepted and trusted across all segments of clients. We are continuously focusing on improving the software to make it more user-friendly and robust,” speaks Rohit.

Known to be a full-fledged mobile-based platform for automotive workshops to manage everything, GaragePlug helps automotive workshop owners to manage their business smartly and in a cost-effective manner. The platform’s unique features enable them to speed up the service cycle and at the same time gives powerful experience to their customers by providing real-time personalised service updates digitally. “Ours is a great platform to market their brand and services and it has given exceptional business growth to these workshop owners by retaining old customers as well as gaining new customers,” informs Rohit.

What makes GaragePlug stand ahead of the competition is its completely frictionless system that starts within two minutes and creates the first digital job-card without the hassles of any training or support. The platform is vernacular with many regional languages available for Indian context, multi-user and multi-outlet support for the service centre owners to manage multiple outlets
with a single login.

In addition to this, it has an optional state-of-the-art booking platform for workshops to get a web presence and start taking online service bookings. “The booking system is zero-maintenance and deeply linked with their GaragePlug account. We also offer intelligent marketing modules for garages to retain old customers and promote to new ones with just a couple of taps,” says Rohit.

Currently, the platform has quite a number of garages who are experiencing a huge improvement in customer experience, management and business growth. “With the core focus on simplicity and customer experience, we hope to 10x the numbers in coming months and build the connected ecosystem for after sales automotive segment,” he asserts.

Walking towards a Bright Future
With a small yet nimble team of 10, GaragePlug has managed to garner clients from Pan India with a mix of tier 1,2and tier 3 cities. Recently,the product has begun gaining interest from outside India. Funded by ex-automotive industry experts,its presence is spread across Middle-East, South Africa and Latin America, as of now.

Going further,team GaragePlug plans to scale their presence with bringing more and more franchised chains and the new auto manufacturers onboard with the system.“We are also trying to penetrate more in the Latin American market with some dedicated channel partners and have already started seeing a good traction,”mentions Rohit.
