The idea of SmartLivein was initiated early when Karunakar Raju, an engineer by profession while working across IT industry for over two decades experienced the struggles during the time of relocating to other cities for job purpose. He identified that finding a right apartment within budget, excellent facilities and peerless vicinity was a nightmare for many. Explicating on the inception story, Raju speaks, “Discovering an apartment with basic amenities came along with the miserable situation. Facing the similar issues related to a home search, I kept on thinking how can this unorganized sector be turned into an organized one. Thus, going forward to leverage a similar solution that of Uber & Ola model, I ventured SmartLivein, company that monitors and manages the individuals overall home requirement.”

Also, impart value added services such as grocery, engineering, commute, wellness, laundry and more.

In accordance with the rental offerings, he avers,“An advantage the homeowners can receive from us is the monthly rent collection, which is taken care on their behalf. Moreover, ensuring quality tenants with background checks, we do a through KYC and reference check. And, all is conducted through technology.” Further, he adds, “We charge the owner a commission of around 15 percent if they provide fully furnished home and when we do we commission 35 percent.”
