Among the most persistent of these silos is blood. Quick access to safe, high-quality blood is a foundational requirement for any healthcare system, yet it remains a critical challenge. Even the best medical treatments can be delayed or denied simply because quality blood is not available when it is needed most.
The groundbreaking solution is presented by EHR Logic through its software, eBloodConnect — an AI based, data-driven platform rooted in the principle of interoperability. The electronic health record framework directly addresses the root of the problem — blood — by tackling critical vulnerabilities in its availability that have long created barriers for patients and healthcare providers. By applying intelligent, data-centered technologies, eBloodConnect strengthens transparency, traceability, and access across the blood ecosystem.
The term blood encompasses a range of vital components, including whole blood, packed red blood cells (PRBC), white blood cells (WBC), plasma, platelets, and other derivatives that are indispensable in emergency care and critical treatments such as cancer therapy.
As an AI-driven HealthTech organization, EHR Logic is redefining boundaries by giving patients a greater chance of accessing safe, high-quality blood quickly through the elimination of systemic silos. Its comprehensive SaaS platform connects a wide network of institutions — including donors, donation camps, blood drives, blood banks, hospitals, and patients — ensuring that critical health data is accessible, traceable, and reliable when it matters most.
Reshaping Blood Availability & Safety in India
EHR Logic emerged from a deeply personal experience. Shivani Rathore, originally from Jodhpur and based in the United States for the past 14 years, witnessed the pain and helplessness of families struggling to secure blood for their loved ones in India during and
after the COVID-19 crisis. Inspired by how U.S. blood ecosystems emphasize safety, account ability, and efficient donor coordination, she became determined to address these challenges in India.
She partnered with Jaipur-based Dr Sandeep Bhargava, who brought over two decades of experience developing technology solutions for the healthcare sector.
Together, they transformed Shivani’s vision into a practical blueprint — with EHR Logic’s engineering team, led by Dr Bhargava, and a group of highly proficient medical advisors, identifying on-ground pain points in the current system and designing solutions capable of turning her mission for “Quick and Quality” access to blood into reality.
What began as a concept soon evolved into the eBloodConnect ecosystem, when Canada-based Ron Austring, a pioneer in healthcare innovation with several patented solutions across the U.S. and other countries, joined the effort. A strong advocate and thought leader for interoperability in U.S. healthcare systems, Ron helped shape an AI-enabled platform that connects donors, blood banks, hospitals, and patients, ensuring quick and quality access to blood.
“While healthcare providers were concerned about the complexity of digital adoption and interoperability, blood donors feared for their data privacy, patients worried about the quick availability of safe blood, and governments focused on traceability governance and regulatory compliance. Addressing these concerns has enabled us to connect with all stakeholders and improve the quality of healthcare by enhancing both the quality and accessibility of blood”, shares Shivani Rathore, Founder & Managing Director, EHR Logic.
The platform supports blood banks in transitioning from manual processes or outdated software to an AI-driven, data-centric solution that enhances processing speed, quality, reliability, and accessibility. Connected hospitals can instantly check the availability of blood components and plasma, as well as track requests through a real-time digital inventory. To promote voluntary blood donations, EHR Logic is also collaborating with non-profit partners such as the eBloodCare Foundation, ensuring that community engagement remains an integral part of the ecosystem.
EHR Logic's key strength lies in its ability to integrate seamlessly with legacy systems by bridging gaps through advanced international interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR, along with the Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) framework and modular APIs, making existing infrastructures more contemporary, compliant, and secure.
Promoting Quality Blood in India through AI Driven Technology
Today, EHR Logic has established a strong footprint across Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana, and is now pursuing a bold pan-India expansion. From humble beginnings, the company’s mission has evolved into building an ecosystem that enables quick, safe, and equitable access to quality blood. As one of India’s most promising HealthTech innovators, EHR Logic aspires to be a catalyst in the nation’s digital health transformation — driving innovation that strengthens India’s blood infrastructure.
Committed to a future where quick and quality access to blood becomes a lived reality, the EHR Logic team aims to ensure that no family is ever left behind without treatment due to lack of supply — all while upholding the highest standards of safety and ensuring that no drop of blood goes to waste.
“It’s ironic that the eBloodConnect software — created to manage blood donations, processing, and distribution — transforms the figurative concept of ‘lifeblood’ into a literal and indispensable service”, says Ron Austring, Co-Founder & Director (Global Strategic Partnerships), EHR Logic.
Guided by this meaningful purpose rather than a pursuit of expansion alone, EHR Logic remains focused on intentional, strategic growth that benefits patients, strengthens healthcare providers, and contributes to the advancement of public health.
