Separator
Anuraag Roychoudhury,CEORego, the on-demand ground mobility services company began its humble journey in 2004. Under the aegis of H. R Shankar-MD, today, the company has grown into one of the most preferred corporate cab rental services in the B2E space. Moreover, Anuraag Roychoudhury, CEO the force of success, has propelled the stability and growth of the company.

The Start
When Shankar moved from Hassan to Bangalore in the early 2000s, he noticed that there was no quality cab service provider at the airport and there was no transparency in the ecosystem. With this, emerged the idea of starting a Car Rental company that offered quality rides, best-in-class chauffeurs, and complete transparency at affordable rates. He & his wife Shantha S. K ideated the brand as a Brick and Mortar set-up near HAL Airport, Bangalore. The company witnessed the immense success of handling more than 100 transfers per day. However, with the airport being shifted to Devanahalli, Shankar realized the need to diversify the portfolio. On clear analysis, he chose the niche of corporate mobility which was monopolized and unorganized as an industry segment.

One-of-a-Kind Services
Rego is currently offering, Spot Rentals, Cabs at Disposal, Long term leasing, Airport Transfers, Outstation Cabs, Intercity Transfers, Employee Transportation Services (Daily pick up and drops for corporate employees shift wise), and, more. Shankar says "Cost optimization, on-time delivery, Transparency, Centralization of services, are at the core of our operations."

Beyond the Usual
Unlike other cab aggregators Rego has been
able to make a substantial footprint in the B2E segment. Rego insures all its travellers across the country which the aggregators fail to do. "Aggregators are yet to reach the majority of Tier 2 and 3 cities; we are present in 150+ of them. The aggregators have a history of multiple cases where women safety is compromised, we guarantee 100 percent safe drive for women anywhere in India, at any time of the day," he informs. He further adds, "We are a 24x7 setup centralized in Bangalore, our team is constantly engaged in tracking and allocating all our duties PAN India. Our supply team on average adds 10 new vehicles per day to our fleet through long-term contracting across the nation, thereby increasing our foot-print continuously. Our fleet PAN India is less than 3years old thereby offering the best cars in the market.”

The Growth Graph
Since its inception, the company has tremendously evolved to a serve more than 150 corporate houses at varying capacities. It was awarded as "The Most Reputed and Recommended Integrated Car Travel Management Organization" at the 43rd FMW Business Networking and Leadership Awards. Moreover, it has grown from an annual turnover of ~INR 30 Lacs to ~INR 60 Cr in the FY 2019-20. "It took good 12 years to achieve this feat," he mentions. The treacherous Covid-19 effects on business was strategically mitigated by on-boarding Anuraag into the core team. He remarks. "I was brought on the leader-ship team amidst Covid era when the business shrunk to 1/5th across the industry, to diversify the product portfolio, introduce flagship products, and reduce dependency on corporate demand."

Rego has a fleet of 800+ vehicles PAN India spanning 168 cities, with all fairly new vehicles

He has brought constructive aggregation concept and technology as the value additions. Anuraag concludes, "We intend to build our product into a fully automated administrative services platform, which will be a web, iOS, and Android-based tool. Our platform will encompass verticals such as Cab Rentals / Employee Transportation, Air Tickets, Hotel Bookings, Food, Corporate loyalty services, MICE, Long Stays/Accommodation, and Co-working spaces.
