The inspiration for the startup SaladO comes from a personal journey combined with professional expertise. “Founded in 2021 by my wife, Riya Kamlesh Rohra, and me, an Investment Banker with a passion for scaling ventures, we aim to build SaladO to revolutionize healthy eating habits across India. Starting with a small kitchen, we expanded to over 200 cloud kitchen franchisees, with plans to reach 500. Our vision is to establish a comprehensive network before launching our app, making it easy for users to access our delicious salads nationwide through weekly, monthly, or yearly subscriptions”, says Kamlesh Rohra, Co-Founder. SaladO aims to build a vast network before its app's full scale launch, covering all of India. Users can easily download the app and subscribe to weekly, monthly, or yearly plans, enjoying its salads nationwide.

SaladO not only caters to the growing demand for healthier meals but also addresses the challenges individuals face in meeting their nutritional goals amid social occasions and gatherings. In today's health-conscious society, where people are striving for a healthier lifestyle, it offers a viable solution. This marks a significant leap in food innovation, aiming to revolutionize healthy eating options. We are piloting the Cafe Model in select cities. If successful, we'll seek Series A funding to open 50 company owned SaladO Cafes, primarily in major metros across India”, says Kamlesh Rohra.

Looking ahead to the future, particularly by the end of 2025, the company is poised for significant growth and expansion. “With plans to raise substantial funds in Series A funding, around 10-12 million euros, we aim to fuel our ambitious expansion strategy. Through strategic investments, we envision establishing company owned outlets spanning across India, with a target of nearly 50 outlets nationwide”, adds Kamlesh Rohra.
