The consulting industry is the industry of veterans. Both Amit Mukherji and Dr. Chandrima Banerjee had been colleagues in their previous organisations and always experimented with the idea of having their own business. “We also realized that our domains are distinct yet synergistic from a customer perspective – and our skills are complimentary”, says Amit Mukherjee, Co-Founder, Unigrow Solutions. Unigrow Solutions is one such a company where industry veterans from different specializations in IT, Supply Chain, Business Process Re-Engineering, HR Change Management, Organization Development, Learning & Development, HR have come together to create something with unique capability and a deep commitment to add value to the clients. The diversity of specializations and varied experience of the consultants is the key strength of Unigrow. “We are confident to add significant value to our clients by drawing lessons from our long corporate experience backed by our domain functional knowledge and research ability”, says Dr.Chandrima Banerjee, Co-Founder.

Addressing the Challenges
The primary challenge in the industry is to properly understand
customer specifications and acting according to them. This trait of Unigrow makes it stand out from the other players in the sector. “The other key issue is that the designed solution has to be implementable from a ground level perspective and NOT theoretical. I suppose our strength is in providing implementable solutions. Moreover, theoretical solutions make the customer cynical and lose faith in consultants”, says Amit.

"Profitability in growth, focusing on providing holistic customized solution to the clients, combined with ever growing customer base has been the elements of truth in case of Unigrow Solutions"

The Path Covered
Since its inception in 2014, Unigrow has undergone exponential growth with its dedication and expertise. The founders being industry veterans have efficiently taken the company to a promising state in very short period of time. Unigrow has added another feather to its cap by bagging a prestigious project funded by the World Bank and is also a registered vendor of World Bank. Chandrima states, “The journey has been great to say the least. God has been very kind in giving us opportunities to work with the best of customers and to be honest our order book has always been very healthy. In terms of milestones, the key ones would be: getting large customers on board, getting government assignments, getting into the Bangladesh market, being recognized by the industry and more importantly being recognized by ex-peers and ex-colleagues as a success story.” Amit adds, “More importantly, we roll up our sleeves and walk the path of implementation along with the client to ensure that tangible
benefits accrue. We know what we can do well and we do that and for the rest we tie up with partners and work in a collaborative fashion retaining the overall responsibility of the customer.”

The Growth Encountered
Profitability in growth combined with ever growing customer base has been the elements of truth in case of Unigrow Solutions. It seems as if the business itself has funded the growth for the company. Expressing the growth and the future ahead for the company, the founders state, “We have grown in a very healthy fashion and our growth rate for 17-18 was 102 percent. For 18-19, we are confident of registering a growth of more than 50 percent given that the base has increased. We have been profitable from year 1 itself and we take lot of pride in it. We are debt free with a healthy cash flow. We have increased our customer base across the country and in the process of having partners in Mumbai, and Delhi and Bangalore We have partnered with organizations which have complimentary competencies and work in collaborative fashion in multiple engagements.”
