Towards a Better Greenar Enviroment

India is slowly drowning in its own garbage. The rate at which India is currently generating waste,it is estimated that by 2030,the country will need a landfill almost as big as the city of Bengaluru to dumpits waste. Urban areas alone generate around 62 million tones of garbage every single year, making India the third largest garbage generator in the world. However, the real issue is not waste generation but the fact that more than 45 million tonnes of waste in India remain untreated. To truly understand the magnitude of that, imagine 3 million trucks piled with untreated garbage. The staggering figures establish the fact that our waste management system is flawed and needs an overhaul.
Municipal Solid Waste Management is one of the biggest challenges being faced by the entire Country. The lack of adequate organized system causes grave environmental impact, resulting in severe health hazards for the citizens and the city.
Amongst many companies that are working in the particular, one such company is Ecogreen. The company aims to bring complete transformation of waste management activity. The Integrated Waste Management Project envisages end to end solution, from door to door collection of waste to its scientific disposal and converting it into organic compost and electricity.
To eliminate open dumping and ensure no burning/ littering of waste, making our cities cleaner and healthier by implementing state of the art closed systems while encouraging source segregation of waste.
Realizing the problems of residents of Bandhwari, Baliyawas and GwalPahari,we have started the construction of Leachate Treatment Plant on first priority, which will be completed by Q1 2018.
To overcome all these problems of waste management, Haryana Government has
taken an initiative to implement the Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM)Project and has appointed ECOGREEN, as
The India team is led by professionals who are experts in Waste Management and Energy Genera Advanced Technology for C&T Management
• GIS Mapping of all Waste generators
• Comprehensive Data Management of waste generators
• Computerized IT based Route Planning & Monitoring
• Vehicle Tracking System for online monitoring.
• Bins & Transfer Stations with Sensors for their filling status
• Online Customer complaint Redressal System
• Customized Management Information System
MSW Pre-Processing RDF & Compost:
• Odour Management
– Completely covered MSW pits and processing plant
– MSW pits will be maintained under negative pressure by sucking odour gases and supplying into boiler for support of combustion.
– In case of boiler outage, the odour gases will be treated in scrubber before dispersing into atmosphere
– Production of High Quality RDF suitable for CFBC boiler
– Efficient combustion for better emission levels
– Uninterrupted plant operation in all seasons
• Good Quality compost as per Fertilizer (Control) Order(FCO)standards
The key to efficient waste management is to ensure segregation source and resource recovery and ECOGREEN focuses on this substantially.
There has been technological advancement for processing, treatment and disposal of solid waste. Energy-from-waste is a crucial element of SWM because it reduces the volume of waste from disposal also helps in converting the waste into renewable energy and organic manure. Ideally, it falls in the flow chart after segregation, collection, recycling and before getting to the land fill. But many waste to energy plants in India are not operating to their full potential.
Installation of waste-to-compost and bio methanation plants would reduce the load of landfill sites. The Biodegradable component of India's solid waste is currently estimated at a little over 50 percent. Bio-methanation is a solution for processing biodegradable waste which is also remains under exploited. It is believed that if we msegregate biodegradable waste from the rest, it could reduce the challenges by half. E-waste components contain toxic materials and are non-biodegradable which present both occupational and environmental health threats Including toxic smoke from recycling processes and leaching from e-waste in landfill into local water tables.

The key to efficient waste management is to ensure proper segregation of waste at source and to ensure that the waste goes through different streams of recycling and resource recovery. Then reduced final residue is then deposited scientifically in sanitary landfills. Sanitary landfills are the ultimate means of disposal for unutilised municipal solid waste from waste processing facilities and other types of inorganic waste that cannot be reused or recycled. The key to efficient waste management is to ensure proper segregation of waste at source and to ensure that the waste goes through different streams of recycling and resource recovery
