How healthy are organic cosmetics brands for consumers in the current health-crisis environment? How can you stay current with the shifting needs of your customers?
In recent times, India has seen a surge in demand for organic beauty and skincare products. Organic personal care products are a great alternative to non-organic ones that contain synthetic and man made chemicals, which can actually cause many diseases. Organic personal care products, on the other hand, are derived from organic ingredients that aren’t harmful and also prevent allergic reactions. They are also known to have a higher level of antioxidants that make the product better. We at Organic Harvest are striving to build a clean, healthy future for all through our 100 percent certified organic beauty products that are not only safe for your skin, hair, and body but also good for the environment. Organic Harvest makes it a point to only use high quality organic ingredients that our consumers will not only like to use but will make a permanent part of their routines. The focus is on incorporating organic elements to increase consumer fondness for ethically sourced, potent, and purest natural beauty care products, like Kakadu plums and acai berries that have been used in our recent Brightening Range. We are committed to the promise of organic beauty through 100 percent American USDA and Ecocert certified organic products.

For this, we engage consumers and understand changing needs even better than research firms, as consumer trends always arise from daily customer behaviors.

Enlighten us about the potential growth of regional beauty brands.
With the onset of social media, no brand, big or small, has to limit itself to the area in which they are located. Further, the pandemic has led to a great increase in the demand for ‘clean’ home grown beauty brands. The world is also realizing the benefits of new-age ingredients with amazing skin and hair care benefits, which have also had a very positive impact on regional beauty brands. We can very confidently say that the future for regional beauty brands is very bright.

As per you, what are the capabilities that would be a good idea for us to build a career as entrepreneurs?
The most important skill set to have as an entrepreneur is the ability to solve problems. Then come innovative thinking and confidence. The path of an entrepreneur is not an easy one, and thus, it requires conviction and the capability to come up with creative solutions for complex issues. It is very important to persevere, no matter what.

Consumers today demand greater ingredient transparency & know what they want their skin type & the wide range of options available to them. With growing awareness, consumers have increasingly started to shift towards skincare

What are the current and future prospects for India's professional skincare market?
The skincare segment in India has been growing positively for the past few years and is set to reach new heights in the years to come. Consumers today demand greater ingredient transparency and know what they want; their skin type, and the wide range of options available to them. With growing awareness, consumers have increasingly started to shift towards skincare. Also, with changing beauty standards, more and more people are embracing their natural skin and trying to treat it with care instead of hiding behind make up and filters. Consumers no longer care about what brand is selling the product; they care about what’s in the product, how safe it is, and how it will help their skin in the long run.

In Innovadia LLC, what was the most crucial thing that you shared with the students and what have you learned from that?
It was an interesting experience of teaching students from multiple nationalities and backgrounds. It was my immense pleasure to be working with the US Federal Government under a government funded program that reached out to more than 20,000 students in the United States. Despite being so diverse, all students have an inherent curiosity to know things and ask questions.
