“We wanted to utilize our experience in computer vision and in the process we understood that it is not an easy task to build such an application as high volume data needs to be analysed that is coming at a very high velocity. This is only reason why we want to keep developing our open source-based platform so that it becomes easy for future users to create the application according to their specific requirements”, says Abhinav Agarwal, Founder, Futops Technologies.

The company is primarily involved in catering to the demand for their open source based platform. These are the clients who need Futops’ SDK (Software Development Kit) in order to build their desired application. The reason why open source based platforms are
very high in demand is because they always provide a smooth and transparent process to build an application from scratch. From the beginning the company has invested a lot of effort into developing this platform and proved to be very implemental in various sectors of business.
Apart from this, there is one other aspect that the company is working on. It is using its computer vision expertise and experience to build solutions for various kinds of companies. Futops has developed an application named Data Center Monitor that can keep a track of all the server lights and raise an alert in case of any anomaly. “We have also developed a solution that is implemental in detecting problems in a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design. Right now we are in the process of building a solution that can be deployed in a supermarket that will be able to execute various kinds of facial detections and real time identification of any kind of theft of burglary or any other kind of illegalities on the supermarket premises”, mentions Brahmeshwar Carpenter, Co-founder.
The Road Ahead
Since its inception in 2019, Futops’ collaboration with the Japanese strategic partner has proved to be of immense value to the company. It has not only been able to provide services to companies in Japan, but also a wing of the Japanese government is currently using their platform to fulfil its requirements which is a matter of pride. The company has been growing at a rate of 70 percent YOY and has developed 10 computer vision solutions only within the matter of a year. “Looking ahead we want to launch our products in the Indian market and also create global alliances”, concludes Abhinav.
