According to the Global Adult Tobacco Survey 2019, the average age of tobacco habit initiation in India is 17 years old, and about one million people die of oral cancer each year in India due to late-stage detection. More than 90% of cancer cases are discovered in later stages when cancer has spread to other parts of the body and the odds of survival and successful treatment have decreased.
