Artificial intelligence-powered Startup, Ambience Healthcare announced that the company secured $70 million in a Series B funding round to “give every healthcare worker AI superpowers.”

The company & its current investors Kleiner Perkins led the funding round with the presence of Horowitz & Optum Ventures.

Regarding the Funding round, Mike Ng, CEO, Ambience Healthcare says, ‘the round was pre-emptive’.

Powered by large language models which are the same underlying tech-based healthcare behind Microsoft-backed OpenAI’s hit ChatGPT chatbot, Ambience Healthcare provides a set of software tools for hospitals and other healthcare organizations.

ChatGPT-made generative AI made a sensation with its ability to write emails and contributes for enterprise applications like healthcare, finance and law. For example, Google has unveiled generative AI models dedicated to healthcare.

A flagship product of Ambience Healthcare, AutoScribe is a real-time AutoScribe used to generate medical notes. And other products of the company assist in generating after-visit summaries, referral appointments to specialists & make sure medical records correspond to the billing codes.

The Co-Founders of the company refused to provide specifics on what large language model provider they are using to power their solution. Also they said that they have modified, or “fine-tuned” their AI by medical specialty, thus the product can cover a diverse range of specialties & sub-specialties.
