Atomberg Technologies raises undisclosed sum from Ka Enterprises & Others

Atomberg Technologies, a developer of smart fans, has raised an undisclosed sum from Ka Enterprises, Deepika Padukone's family office, as part of its extended Series B investment. A91 Partners, IDFC Parampara, and Survam Partners have earlier invested Rs 160 crore in the company.
Epigamia, Blu Smart, and Bellatrix Aerospace are among the companies in which Ka Enterprises has previously invested.
“We have begun talks to raise our next funding round of $25-$30 million,” Sibabrata Das, says, cofounder of Atomberg.
According to Das, the company's income increased by 100 percent year over year in the fiscal year ending March 31, totaling Rs 300 crore. “We intend to continue our growth in the coming years and will look to grow north of Rs 1,500 crore in the next 36 months,” he added.
According to him, the company's growth will come from newer smaller appliance categories such as mixer grinders and wet grinders, which it plans to enter.
Atomberg, founded in 2012 by Manoj Meena and Das, sells energy-efficient brushless DC electric motor fans. It has a fully integrated manufacturing facility in Navi Mumbai that can produce 150,000 fans each month, as well as over 400 service centres around the country.
“I really identify to Atomberg's mission of creating smart and energy-efficient consumer appliances for the ever-evolving new-age Indian consumer,” Padukone remarked. “Over the last five years, the team has proved that they had all of the necessary components to establish a highly valued and distinct consumer brand.”
Atomberg presently has 7,000 sales counters in 120 locations. “The plan is to scale this to 15,000 counters by the end of the next financial year,” Das said.
