Cautio, a fast-growing AI-powered video telematics startup, has raised an additional $1.8 million in seed funding, taking its total seed round to $3 million. The latest round was led by seasoned investor Amal Parikh and saw participation from 8i Ventures, AU Small Finance Bank, Vibha Chetan (Partner – Cheravi Ventures), and Venture Catalysts. Notable angels including Raveen Sastry (Founding Partner, Multiply Ventures), Vivekananda Hallekere (Co-Founder, Bounce), and Nishchay AG (Co-Founder, JAR) also backed the company.
This funding follows the $1.2 million that Cautio had raised earlier in April as part of its ongoing seed round. The startup has now raised over $3.6 million in total capital, further cementing investor confidence in its mission to revolutionize road safety across India.
Founded with the vision of making every journey safer, Cautio offers AI-powered dash cameras coupled with a real-time safety platform. Its core strength lies in predictive capabilities that not only record but actively work to prevent accidents. Designed for public transport fleets, school buses, and commercial vehicles, Cautio's technology delivers alerts that can save lives before a crisis unfolds.
“India’s roads don’t need more fear; they need accountability and protection”, said Ankit Acharya, Co-Founder & CEO of Cautio. “Every alert we send out is an opportunity to prevent an accident, to protect a family, and to save a life. That’s the impact we are striving for”.
Co-founder and CTO Pranjal added, “This fresh capital will allow us to bolster our R&D, scale our tech team, and expand deployment across key transport networks. Our goal is to make road safety a standard, not a luxury”.
Investor Amal Parikh expressed strong belief in the team’s clarity and drive, “What drew me to Cautio is their understanding of a problem that is urgent yet under-addressed road safety. They’re not just building AI they’re building it with purpose, where innovation meets responsibility”.

The new funds will help Cautio strengthen its AI capabilities, broaden its reach among intercity and intracity fleet operators, and scale its installation and service operations to ensure a seamless rollout.
At a time when India records some of the world’s highest road accident rates, Cautio’s data-first, people-focused approach aims to bring transformative change where every journey begins and ends in safety.
