Chennai's Vividobots Raises Rs1.47 Crore to Revolutionize High-Rise Maintenance

Chennai startup Vividobots that deals in robotic automation raised Rs1.47 crore in a seed funding round from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The funding will further fuel product innovation and the development of robotic solutions customized for particular verticals.
Established in 2021 by engineers Dhinesh B (CEO), Velmurugan B (CPO), and Kesavaraj S (CTO), Vividobots seeks to offer high-precision robotic services for high-rise maintenance. The company was conceived following a terrible accident of a painter's fall, which moved the founders to look for safer means of conducting risky tasks.
The founder team has experience with top companies like Flipkart, the Air Defence Agency, and TCS. They aim to improve security, lower costs, and make building maintenance more efficient through robots.
Vikram Ramasubramanian, IPV Partner & CIO, said, "As India's real estate industry thrives, high-rise buildings are increasingly common, as are the issues of keeping them in check. Vividobots is tackling these issues with cutting-edge robotic solutions that make exterior building maintenance safer and more efficient. At IPV, we are excited to back a startup that is not only keeping up with urbanization but also defining its future through technology. "
Vividobots uses AI-based robotics for services such as high-rise building exterior painting and cleaning, hitherto dependent on labor and full of hazards. The firm asserts that its robotic system can lower the maintenance duration by 70%, decrease costs by 50%, and lower material waste by 15%.
Based in Chennai currently, Vividobots is looking to expand into other metropolitan regions where the demand for high-rise maintenance is increasing. Its systems are proprietary and built for precision, safety, and repeatability, with the goal of making these services more predictable and scalable.
Dhinesh B, Vividobots CEO, said, "At Vividobots, we are revolutionizing the way robotics address real-world problems. Motivated by the fine balance of human perseverance and effort, we are dedicated to creating a future marked by safety, speed, and sustainability. Our collaboration with IPV ignites our vision to innovate fearlessly and redefine the horizons of robotics and its impact on society."
The company has been selected as one of the Top 10 Tech Startups in Real Estate by Mahindra LEAP 2023 and is a participant of the Brigade REAP accelerator program.
Based on estimates by the company, the Indian market for cleaning and painting services is estimated to be worth USD 4.46 billion with a total addressable market size of USD 178.7 billion. Internationally, the serviceable market is estimated at USD 45 billion with a projected total addressable market size of USD 1.56 trillion, showcasing the vast scope for automation here.
