CLR Facility Services, one of India's premier integrated facility management solution providers, has received $15 million (approximately  Rs 125 crore) from British International Investment (BII), the UK government's development finance institution and impact investor. This strategic investment will propel CLR into its next phase of inclusive and sustainable growth.

Established in 2002, CLR employs more than 20,000 blue-collar specialists and provides a variety of services such as cleaning, engineering, mechanical maintenance, and manufacturing support to major corporate clients.

With this investment, CLR intends to increase its employee strength more than two-fold to over 50,000 in the next 5–7 years. The company plans to give more opportunities of employment to low-income groups and women, particularly in tier-2 cities. Part of the funding will also go towards establishing vocational training centers to skill and upskill unskilled and semi-skilled employees.

This BII partnership is a milestone in our journey. It allows us to generate purposeful jobs, enhance gender diversity, and fuel innovation in the facility management industry," said Gaurav Pathak and Gautam Pathak, Promoters and Directors at CLR Facility Services.

Shilpa Kumar, Head of India and Managing Director at BII, said, "More than 80% of India's non-agricultural labor force is in blue and grey-collar occupations. With this investment, BII intends to foster inclusive growth and increase access to formal employment and training for marginalized communities."

The union represents a mutual dedication to economic empowerment, gender equality, and sustainable practices across one of India's most significant employment-generating industries.
