Deep-Tech Startup Vecmocon Secures $18 Million in Series A Funding

Vecmocon Technologies, a leading Indian deep-tech startup with a focus on clean and sustainable mobility, has concluded its Series A funding with a successful raise of $18 million. The Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF), a venture capital investment fund committed to sustainability, led the round, with further participation from Aavishkaar Capital, a top impact investing company in India, and the British International Investment (BII), the U.K.'s development finance institution. Existing investor Blume Ventures also joined this funding round.

New Delhi-based startup founded by IIT and ISB alumni in 2016 is dedicated to creating "the most robust systems" suitable for Indian conditions as it plays its part in the global shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) and clean energy. Through deep technology, Vecmocon strives to make the future generation of electric vehicles smarter, more connected, and powered by innovative solutions that drive the EV revolution. Vecmocon wants to incorporate intelligent systems and data-driven insights into each EV to improve their responsiveness, adaptability, and efficiency. Vecmocon is committed to sustainable mobility by empowering EV brands with cutting-edge technology that has minimal negative impact on the environment.

The additional capital will help Vecmocon augment its market reach and deepen its skills in embedded design, power electronics, IoT, and data science to power more than 100,000 Indian road vehicles. A part of the funds will also be invested in hiring additional talent and building international-grade R&D infrastructure for the electric vehicle space, facilitating Vecmocon's international aspirations.

Through the building of strong relationships with industry stakeholders based on the sustained provision of superior, dependable, and market-responsive solutions, Vecmocon prioritizes the development of indigenous competence in computing components for EVs to enhance efficiency and accessibility.
