Bengaluru-based veterinary clinic chain Dr. Paws has raised Rs 29.3 crore ($3.5 million) in a pre-Series A round led by Chiratae Ventures. Existing investor Sauce joined the round, along with venture debt from Trifecta Capital and Stride Ventures.
With this funding, the company plans to significantly expand its footprint. Dr. Paws aims to scale its clinic network in Bengaluru by adding nine new clinics by 2026. The company is also preparing to enter Hyderabad and Pune, marking its expansion beyond Karnataka. In addition, the team is gearing up to launch at-home veterinary services and roll out private-label products, including treats, supplements, and pet food.
Founded by Udit Gadkary and Rakesh Santhapur, Dr. Paws operates full-service veterinary clinics that offer consultations, surgeries, diagnostics, and preventive care. The company currently runs three 24x7 clinics in Bengaluru, with two more under construction.
Since its launch, Dr. Paws says it has completed over 30,000 appointments and conducted more than 800 surgeries. The clinics reportedly reach operational profitability within five months of opening, showcasing strong demand and efficient operations.
