Edtech Startup 'byteXL' lifts $5.9 million in Series A

An inventive edtech startup, ByteXL, a platform concentrated on engineering education has lifted $5.9 million in its Series A funding round directed by Kalaari Capital, Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. The fresh fundings will be utilized to expand the teams, develop the products, introduce new digital tools and technologies and extend its presence in more universities and colleges across the nation.

Established by Karun Tadepalli, the edtech startup byteXL teams up with colleges and industries to assimilate syllabuses, content, and practical learning offering the students with essential skills and responsiveness on employability and empowering them to outshine in their careers.

From its inception, byteXL has collaborated with more than 26 colleges and universities across India, skilling up more than a lakh student in diverse software technologies such as programming, booming technologies such as full stack development, cybersecurity and cloud technologies.

Lately, byteXL partnered with Microsoft to launch a new B.Tech CSE course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, intended to cater the evolving demands in the industry.

byteXL is an online platform providing productive tools and training to learn coding. It offers courses across diverse categories such as DevOps, full-stack development, cybersecurity, data science and others.

To date, ByteXL has lifted a total funding capital of $1.2 million more than 2 rounds. The first funding round of the startup was held on Sep 28, 2021. The latest funding round for the startup is Seed round, which was held on August 17, 2022, for $1 million. The funding round was led by its key investor Joy Investment.
