Ed-Tech startup Offee raises Rs 5.25 crore funding
Mumbai-based educational technology startup Offee has successfully raised Rs 5.25 crore in funding with ambitious plans to transform the landscape of digital exams. Offee has developed a platform aimed at streamlining the administration of extensive examinations for educational institutions and government organizations. The funding for this ed-tech platform comes from investors such as JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation (JIIF), Bombay Industry Association (BIA), and Riidl. Offee intends to use this capital injection to bolster its product development efforts, broaden its operational reach, and explore new markets.
The startup asserts that it is addressing the rapid digital transformation in the education sector, which has been accelerated by the pandemic. They claim to provide a solution for converting more than 100 crore paper-based college exams in India into digital format. Notably, Offee's 'Bring Your Own Device' (BYOD) solution empowers students to securely take digital exams on their personal devices, even without an internet connection, whether in classrooms or local examination centers. This feature is particularly significant in less accessible taluka/panchayat areas, helping bridge educational disparities.
Amit Shah, the founder of Offee, expressed his gratitude to JITO, BIA, and Riidl, highlighting their dedication to revolutionizing the examination process. He mentioned, "With the support of JITO, BIA, and Riidl, we are reshaping the examination process, turning it into a reality for students everywhere. This isn't just an app for us; we are creating a movement. With the endorsement of our strategic investors, we are well-positioned to establish digital exams as the standard, ensuring fair and equal access for all".
