EV Startup BluSmart raises $25 Million Funding from Swiss-based Investor

An Electric mobility startup based in Delhi-NCR, BluSmart is set to lift up $25 Mn (around Rs. 208 Cr) in a fresh funding round from Switzerland-based investor ResponsAbility Investments AG in a mezzanine structure, including partial equity dilution & debt.

BluSmart, which compete with Bengaluru-based Lithium, Delhi-based eee-Taxi, Kolkata-based Snap-E Cabs as well as giants like Ola and Uber, plans to deploy its fresh proceeds to expand its electric vehicle charging infrastructure across India.

The inventive startup BluSmart races with Bengaluru-based Lithium, Delhi-based eee-Taxi, Kolkata-based Snap-E Cabs & also it competes with the prominent EV players including Ola and Uber. The company is planning install its fresh profits to develop its electric vehicle charging infrastructure across India.

The new funding amount of this electric mobility startup comes after it raised $24 Million (INR 200 Crore) in a fresh equity funding round, which saw sharing and over-subscription from its obtainable investors, founders and the leadership team.

BluSmart presently operates 6,000 EVs and states to have completed over 11 million all-electric trips. It also owns and activates 4,000 EV chargers across its 35 EV charging locations spread across 1.4 million sq. feet in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.

BluSmart stated that it reached $50 million (more than Rs. 400 crore) in yearly revenue run-rate and is increasing at more than 100% year-on-year.

At the same time as the company is yet to file its FY23 results, its range bounded 222 percent to Rs. 29 crore in FY22. Cabs & charging facilities were two sources of income for the company.
