Flavourworks Receives Funding worth $3.8 Million

Team Startup CityFlavourworks, a video game startup has raised $3.8 million in its funding round. The startup is bringing in a revolution in the gaming industry with the help of filmed content where it uses real actors with the deep interactivity of narrative video games. The company aims to utilize the funds for strengthening its patent-pending cross-platform Touch Video Technology.

The participant who led the Series A funding round includes Hiro Capital, with co-investment from Sky
Ventures. Sky Ventures contributed to the funding round as it is a Limited Partner in Hiro Capital. The Flavourwork is developing a unique genre by fusing Movies and Games. This is will provide a personalized storyline to the users where they can make their own decisions by touching the screen to control actors’ choices.

The England-based Flavourswork was co-founded in 2015 by Jack Attridge and Pavle Mihajlovic. The company was started with the aim to create the most-interactive video-based game to provide a unique and innovative experience to the users. The company’s first product, Erica which was recently published by Sony Interactive Entertainment is available on the PlayStation 4. It is soon going to be available for mobile phones. Erica is an interactive thriller where a player’s choice determines the action of the female protagonist. The Touch Video technology allows users to experience reality with the help of a touchpad on Sony’s Dualshock 4 or a mobile device screen. According to Pavle Mihajlovic, Erica merges the worlds of film and video games in a way that has never been done before. It is the first game that allows the users to experience live-action and also enables the users to mold the story according to their liking.
