Direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand KisanKonnect has secured $4.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Mistry Ventures, with participation from Times Group’s Brand Capital, actress Shilpa Shetty, VC-Grid, Vishwang Desai, and key family offices.

This comes after raising $3.7 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Green Frontier Capital. The company plans to utilize the funds to enhance its technology infrastructure, scale operations, expand into major urban markets, and integrate AI for farm sourcing and supply chain efficiency.

Co-founded in 2020 by Vivek and Nidhi Nirmal, KisanKonnect operates as a farmer-producer company, leveraging an integrated farming system to deliver fresh, locally sourced fruits and vegetables directly from over 500 farms to customers’ homes at competitive prices.

Since its inception, the Ahmednagar-based startup has built a tech-driven, vertically integrated supply chain empowering traditional agriculture and promoting sustainable farming practices with a network of 5,000 farmers. It offers fresh produce, dairy, and premium dairy products made from hormone-free and antibiotic-free milk.

KisanKonnect has gained traction with its mobile app and ‘KisanKonnect Farm Stores’ across Mumbai and Pune. Initially offering a 48-hour delivery model, it now delivers within 4-6 hours and is piloting a 30-minute delivery service, highly praised by customers. This positions the brand as a key player in the quick-commerce segment, enhancing its reach and empowering farmers to benefit from growing consumer demand.

With its focus on quality, transparency, and speed, KisanKonnect is transforming India’s fresh-commerce landscape and strengthening farm-to-table connections.
