FreshToHome raises $20 million in Series B

Team SIFreshToHome has been the talk of the town recently for raising $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Iron Pillar with the participation of ZIGExn’s founder, Joe Hirao.

Present-day investors such as CE-Ventures, AI Nassar Holdings, Massar International and others took part in the round. The company passed a statement where it stated
that it has crossed Rs 200 crore in annualized direct to consumer sales, registering a 30% month-on-month growth. It aspires to further utilize the funding to expand into other cities in India and the UAE. Currently, the company operates in cities like NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Calicut, Trivandrum, Trichur and Cochin.

Over and above, the company purposes to use the funds to ameliorate its products, bring distinctiveness in its offerings and try hands on the other fresh and chemical-free food categories, such as fruits and vegetables, cold pressed oils, organic cow & buffalo milk, dairy products, organic staples and other healthy food products. Anand Prasanna, managing partner of Iron Pillar, shared his view on the investment and stated, “This is our first investment into the food-tech space and we wanted to be certain of the value offered by the brand and strong technology enabled moats for the business.” Shan Kadavil,CEO, FreshToHome said, “We recently crossed 14,000 orders a day - this reinforces our belief that if you give consumers safe to eat food at an honest price.”
