Lite Bite to bag INR 250cr from PEs

Monica Pallavi JLite Bite Food Group which runs popular restaurants like Punjabi Grill, Bakers Street and Street Foods plans to raise INR 250cr from private equity firms. The company owns around 140 restaurants and it is co- promoted by Amit Burman, Chairman, Dabur Group and Rohit Aggrawal .
Lite Bite which had previously bagged master allowance for setting up eateries in 5-tier & 2-tier Indian airports is now planning to make its airport franchise business as a separate entity. In accordance to make both retails foods and airport business contribute equally to sales.

Rohit said, “We are looking forward to entering a new growth phase, hoping to see enormous potential to expand our overseas business”

The promoters are looking at attenuating minor stake in food retails business which currently endeavors value of 1000–2000cr, reports ET Retail.

The article started that Lite Bite proposes to admit a private equity player into the retail business. It has also has mandated investment bank KPMG to look for investors.
