Healthcare Startup 'MedMitra AI' nets Rs. 3 crore from All In Capital & others
Healthtech platform MedMitra AI has secured Rs. 3 crore in a funding round co-led by venture capital firms All In Capital and WEH Ventures. The round also saw participation from multiple angel investors. The company plans to use the funds to expand its expert team, enhance the development of its AI solutions, and boost its market presence in both current and new regions.
Co-founder Shivangi Sharma explained, “We saw a clear gap for a solution tailored specifically for doctors. Most existing health-tech products focus on hospital management or primarily cater to patients. There’s currently no tool designed to ease doctors' workloads and alleviate their burden.”
MedMitra AI is also preparing to launch a specialized version of its platform for medical students, aiming to improve the learning experience and enhance medical education.
Founded in 2023 by Shivangi and Anushka Sharma, the Jaipur-based startup is developing autonomous AI agents to assist healthcare professionals with diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. The platform utilizes multimodal inputs, such as patient medical histories, lab reports, prescriptions, and advanced imaging, to help doctors deliver accurate, efficient, and personalized care.
Sharma mentioned that the platform responds within 5 to 15 seconds after information is entered. The company aims to onboard 500 doctors within the next year, with over 100 doctors already using the platform. In terms of hospitals, they plan to focus on around 20 to 30 hospitals over the next six months, with a special emphasis on reaching doctors in smaller cities who lack access to technology.
