Stellaris Venture Partners led a $4 million Series A round for online home decor and lifestyle brand Nestasia.

The round was also joined by several angel investors from the Stellaris Founder Network, an exclusive club of more than 60 entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

Varun Alagh (CEO, MamaEarth), Sahil Barua (CEO, Delhivery), Anuj Srivastava and Ramakant Sharma (Founders, Livspace), and Dilip Khandelwal (CEO, Dilip Khandelwal) are among them (Global CIO, Deutsche India).

Nestasia is striving to expand its product line, technology, and infrastructure.

Nestasia, founded in 2019 by Aditi Murarka Agrawal and Anurag Agrawal, produces and sells a variety of products from India and Southeast Asia that incorporate modern design, traditional processes, and a variety of materials such as clay, metal, wood, and marble.

Nestasia offers approximately 6,000 items in a variety of categories. The business has fulfilled 100,000 orders and has over 50,000 customers in seven countries.

"By 2025, Nestasia hopes to reach over 10 million households in India," the company said in a statement.

According to Aditi Murarka Agrawal, there has been a shift in how people view their homes.

“It’s a space where a lot of time has been spent working and entertaining lately. This has amped up the desire for upgrades in the home environment and the fact that consumers are willing to opt for unique, good quality products has expedited our growth by three-fold in the last one year,” she added.

According to Rahul Chowdhri, partner at Stellaris Venture Partners, the home and kitchen area is a Rs 100,000 crore market that is mostly untapped.

“However, it has been one of the fastest growing segments and is witnessing a sea change with increased online penetration and premiumization alongside changing consumer behaviour that has been further accelerated by the pandemic,” Chowdhri, who has joined Nestasia’s board, added.
