Vaaree, an Indian marketplace offering home furnishings, decor, and accessories, has secured $4 million in a seed funding round led by Surge, Peak XV's accelerator program. Additional investors in this round include PeerCapital, All In Capital, and Better Capital. The newly acquired funds will be utilized to expedite recruitment efforts and improve the user experience on the online platform, according to a statement from the company. Co-founder Varun Vohra mentioned that the funding will also support crucial areas such as curation, merchandising, supply chains, and the development of omnichannel experiences.

Vaaree emphasizes affordability by featuring products from carefully vetted manufacturers. Through its factory-to-home model, the company strives to enhance logistics and supply chain efficiency while minimizing expenses related to advertising and packaging to maintain competitive prices. Recently, Vaaree inaugurated its inaugural retail store at the Forum South Bangalore Mall in late October, designed as an experiential center to attract and engage customers. The store showcases 2,000 of its 20,000 products. Co-founder Garima Luthra explained that the offline store serves as a brand showcase to encourage online shopping behavior. The company plans to double its product offerings on the website over the next two quarters and aims for substantial growth, targeting a 6x to 8x increase by the following September.

Vaaree offers a wide range of products, including kitchenware, bedding, barware, cast iron cookware, and fitted bedding. The company reported that certain items, like cast iron cookware and fitted bedding, were sold out within the first week of the store's opening. Established in February 2022 by Luthra, Vohra, and Pranav Arora, Vaaree launched its online operations in May 2022 and has successfully delivered over 150,000 products to date. In early 2022, the company secured pre-seed funding from notable investors, including Kunal Shah (Cred founder), Arjun Vaidya (Dr. Vaidya's founder), Vineeta Singh (Sugar Cosmetics founder), Ghazal Alagh (Mamaearth co-founder), Varun Dua (Acko co-founder), and Anjali Bansal (Avaana Capital co-founder).
