A Uttarakhand-based startup is revitalizing the local economy by supporting over 12,000 farmers, with a significant focus on women. EvolveX, an early-stage program initiated by We Founder Circle, invests in Himshakti, an innovative startup committed to improving the livelihoods of remote Himalayan villagers through sustainable agriculture. Through its engagement with more than 12,000 farmers, particularly women, this startup from Uttarakhand is making strides in rejuvenating economic well-being at the grassroots level.

Founded by Harshit Sehdev, Himshakti garnered investor interest when it participated in EvolveX's Cohort 3, which was initiated in April 2023. In their pre-seed funding round, Himshakti secured INR 83 lakhs (approximately USD 99.8K), with EvolveX leading the investment and We Founder Circle as a co-investor. Furthermore, VC funds such as Artha Venture Fund and Auxano, as well as VKJ Projects, a prominent construction company in Uttarakhand, and distinguished angel investors, have also supported the startup in this funding round. These funds will be allocated towards team expansion, sales and marketing efforts, and introducing new products. Himshakti's ambitious plan includes establishing a strong presence in over 1,000 premium retail outlets across North India within the next three months.
