Synapsica Healthcare, based in Delhi, recently raised $4.2 million in a Series A round led by venture capital firms IvyCap Ventures and Endiya Partners. Y Combinator, a Sialicon Valley-based incubator, and other angel investors also participated in the funding round.

Synapsica, founded by Meenakshi Singh, Dr. Cherian, and Kuldeep Singh Chauhan, aims to improve radiology report quality while making it easier for doctors to create them. The new capital, according to the company, will be used for international expansion and to expand the suite of AI features that help radiologists and spine specialists create patient reports quickly, or even in real-time at the table side.

To aid diagnosis in X-Ray, CT, and MRI scans, the company employs NLP, computer vision, and deep learning-based software products. Its machine learning automation enables workflow management at Diagnostic Centers, making the entire process of stakeholder coordination, disease interpretation, and report generation more efficient.

“We are obsessed with radiologists' experience on our platform, and direct our research and tech development to create the best possible environment for clinical diagnosis. This means taking away all mundane tasks - button clicks, measurements, repetitive diagnosis - and giving back time to focus on the patient,” said Meenakshi, CEO, Synapsica Healthcare.

Synapsica's Radiolens platform claims to enable radiologists and clinicians to create reports with illustrations and objective evidence of disease, bringing transparency and thus better patient care to the community. Radiolens contains a number of artificial intelligence-based algorithms that help radiologists describe the precise location and extent of spine-related pathologies.

Synapsica claims to be trusted by 250+ doctors across 500+ hospitals and diagnostic centres, with more partners being added on a daily basis, all with the goal of improving Radiology reporting.

“Synapsica with its AI tools help in creating patient reports quickly. Our investment in the company is aimed at helping them in their expansion and growth,” added Vikram Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner, IvyCap Ventures Advisors Pvt Ltd.
