KALKI Fashion Raises Rs225 Crore Expansion Funding

KALKI Fashion, an ethnic and occasion wear company, has been able to raise Rs225 crore of funds from Lighthouse Funds to support the retail expansion drive. "This partnership will help us expand our retail presence in India and internationally, drive supply chain efficiency, and invest in product innovation and customer experience," said Saurabh Gupta, Founder and CEO, KALKI Fashion.
The luxury apparel brand is expanding its India and international retail footprint aggressively, with robust unit economics and repeat profit growth. KALKI has large-format flagship stores in Indian metros and a personalized experience through its direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform.
Anshul Jain, MD, Lighthouse Funds, emphasized the investment rationale, commenting that "KALKI has established a strong brand position in the premium occasion wear domain, with an inherent emphasis on quality and hand-crafting. As Indians keep celebrating weddings, festivals, and other socio-religious ceremonies, KALKI is set to become the consumer's first port of call for sophistication and exclusivity."
Established in 2007 by Saurabh, Shishir, and Nishit Gupta, KALKI provides luxury bridal, festive, and occasion wear for women and men with an established customer base in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Lighthouse Funds has previously invested in companies such as Fabindia and Kushal's along with other recognizable names such as Wow! Momo, Kama Ayurveda, Duroflex, and Nykaa.
